This week on Fishing the Midwest television we're airing a special show. It's a tribute to Frances Holt. She always thought a pond would be nice in her backyard, so her husband and son built her one. I hope you enjoy this one.
We will also be on Devils Lake in North Dakota throwing crankbaits for walleyes.
Fox Sports North will be airing that show this weekend as will several other stations. It will be delayed a week in some areas such as Mason City, Austin, Rochester, and Des Moines.
See you there.

BOB,what time of year was you there, for the Devils lake segment. I and my wife were there last summer. Pulled spinner rigs and caught alot of fish, but would love to do the crankbait casting thing. Also do you have a guide recommendation.

Thank you. The story behind Lake Frances is one of those that doesn't come around very often.

Devils Lake can provide fantastic fishing and a wonderful overall outdoor experience.
We taped that segment in October, but they tell me the crankbait bite is good year round. There is a very good crankbait bite in spring on Devils Lake I have been told. Find the shallow rock areas that have wind and you will probably have action.
We fished with Ross Sensiba and he did a great job. He can be contacted through Devils Lake Tourism. Contact the folks at Devils Lake for more info. devilslakend.com or 800-233-8048
Tell them you saw the Devils Lake show on Fishing the Midwest television. Please be sure to specify Fishing the Midwest.
Thanks for watching.
