View Full Version : WC SD Ice get together
Ok, it looks like Lake Thompson won the vote, however I did not see anyone that actually posted say that Thompson was their first choice, which makes me wonder if there really is that much interest in Thompson, or if someone was just testing the poll :) If there is really that much interest in Thompson, please correct me, and I apologize in advance.
With that in mind, I'm going to suggest that we base in Watertown, which gives us the most freedom to hit whatever the hot bite is at the time, and that we hold it January 5-6.
The Guest House (hotel) will give us double rooms at $45, as many people as we want in a room, assuming that we reserve about 15 rooms or more.
Does this sound like something we can all agree on?
If you'd like, I can make hotel reservations for everyone, I'd just need names.

It sounds good to me, pick a base and be mobile. Count me in, however having a new child and being from Sioux Falls I will probably just drive. We will need to determine how and where to meet
Sounds good to me. I probably would drive up early Saturday morning and stay overnight Saturday night. I'll check with the Mrs. to see if she wants to come, since we have friends in Watertown. Otherwise, I'll be bringing 2 or 3 others with me. I may or may not need a room, pending if we stay with our friends or not.

Sounds Great, I'll be there. Watertowns a good spot for base camp. Right in the middle of lots of Walleye water. :)

you can count me and my son Ian in for sure for the ice get together. Hopefully my nephew Logan and a few of my Aberdeen buddies will join us. Sadly my dad won't be there physically but he'll be there in spirit. He passed away last Wednesday due to a heart attack. I'll take a Friday and Saturday night room.
Sorry to hear that Mike. It's been a tough year for that, I lost two grandparents since July, my wife lost one, and it's tough.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Everyone, I'll try to make the reservations for the rooms this friday, so if you know someone that doesn't post on this that's planning on going, let them know.

Eyes count me in for a room for Me and my 2 boys. 2 double beds will work good.
Pick out a meeting time and place on Fri and let us know what grub to bring for at least 1 meal on the ice. I have an old table to eat on and an extra 4 hole house and heater if we need them.

Eyez, hope to make it there with my father in law, but we will be staying at his place in Madison. He needs an oxygen consentrator to sleep and is uncomfortable to travel with it. See ya on the ice.

Back to the top, come on boys and girls let's get the grills going on that block of ice and have a few grins. P.S. think cold, we need the ice and hopfully my sinus problems will go away
