This morning at 8:45AM = 61 Degrees outside. 3:30PM = 40 Degrees outside and falling to 25 by evening.

Should I get the boat and the long sticks out or the ice house and the short sticks? What month is this, April or December? WHERE AM I? Aughhhhhhhh

Gee wiz this sucks!!!!!!!!!

Someone on the board must be an old navy man and can tell us how to convert the boat to an icebreaker so we could troll. I've used the Surburban as an icebreaker and that was expensive and also I had trouble keeping the line from wrapping around the tailpipe.

You're in Kansas, Buddy!

I walked out the door this morning and promptly went right back in and put on a lighter jacket. Kinda wish I hadn't done that now!

I cant remember if this has happened before in December. Got chased off the water by a thunder storm.

Winter has been canceled.

Whatever you do---DO NOT winterize your boat yet.

I want to try trolling in January

It's still time for the Long Sticks! The water ain't anywhere close to freezing yet! Hope we can get out on Saturday. Wind will decide for us because we're trying to get a last trip or two on Lake Mi. Hope all your buddies haven't put the boats away yet. Just dress like you're ice fishing and hunker down out of the wind as much as possible. Keep fishing like it was November. Don't let Mother Nature (terrorist) get you down.

Just hook up your boat and go fishing.
If the wind is a bit brisk, take along a sun flower heater, with a 20 lb propane bottle in a milk crate. This will keep it from falling over, and the sunflower heater will keep your hands warm.

Today it was 50 degrees about noon.

The water temp is still in the mid to high 30s.

Lots of fish are still chasing cranks and biting hard.

Take care and enjoy.
