Some time ago I posted requesting info about Krooked Lake in Ontario with no avail. Now the trip is in the past and thought I would say that it was a good trip. Caught many walleyes. Size pool was 16-18 with many 20's and a couple 21-23 inchers. No monsters but nice sizes. Minimal effort was needed, only drifting a half crawler on a jig. Targeting pike was a tough catch, so we settled for the pike that bit while fishing walleye. Largest pike 11 lbs, 36 inches. Smallies were on fire with all fish between 1 and 2 lbs, nice ones. We had trouble with the lakers, caught about 7 between 4 people. They were always suspended on the depth finder, and we were having trouble knowing how deep we were with the luhr jensen "deep six" divers. Portable clamp on downriggers will be on the list for next trip. Amazing structure due to rocky bottom. humps 3 ft under water surrounded by 80 ft of water. Depth could be 10 feet in front of the boat and 70 feet in the back! This was a fly-in trip out of Emo. Remember, don't bring any potatoes into Canada, they will make you throw them out at the border, and also make sure your crawlers are in bedding, not dirt or they will take those also. Bringing leeches/minnows across is not allowed at all I don't think.
