Fished the Mississippi River downstream from Dubuque IA this week with Scott Golden, creator of Walleye Central, and Kevin Oyen, Dubuque area walleye ace.

Bite was on wing dams using a variation of the Dubuque Rig. Heavy jig on the dropper with Power Grub, Gumdrop Floater with crawler on drop-back line. Fished several wingdams before finding one that had fish. Nice walleyes in the 18-21 inch range.

The Dubuque area is really an interesting area. Older river town that has lots of modern attractions along with great scenery.

Leaf colors will be peaking about next weekend.

Bob, that is a nice area. Sort of hidden right in front of your nose, if you know what I mean. Did you film for TV and if so, when will the show air? Thanks Bryan

Yes, we shot a show with Scott and Kevin. It will air sometime during the first quarter of 2005. I will post the dates and stations when we get the schedule finalized.

Scott and Kevin did a great job. There will be some editing required: Not that Scott or Kevin were crude or anything like that, it's just that some folks wouldn't understand the difference between "Golden Humor" and reality.

Will keep you posted on airtimes, thanks for asking.
