Hi
Not much news on the walleye front - very few anglers out after the weekend. We've seen the surface temps drop over the past 2 weeks... currently, we're looking at the low 50's. Action is still split pretty evenly between crankbaits and leech/slipbobber. It seems that most of the "night owls" are running cranks and most of the daytime folks are using live bait. While neither method is exclusively "best" for a particular time of day, this mix is certainly the most "popular". The muskie action is still alive and well - the next few weeks look very promising. The perch bite is good, but you WILL do quite a bit of sorting. Stick to Wahkon, Isle and Cove Bays with a "I-Bob" jig and a minnow for the perch.
Yes, we still have big leeches!

Finally,
A passenger train is creeping along, slowly. Finally it creaks to a halt. Ole sees a conductor walking by outside. "What's going on?" Ole yells out the window. "Cow on the track!" replies the conductor. Ten minutes later, the train resumes its slow pace. Within five minutes, however, it stops again. Ole sees the same conductor walk again. He leans out the window and yells, "What happened? Did we catch up with the cow again?"
Have a great weekend,
