G Loomis sales????

It's getting to be the end of the season here in Iowa, and time for end of the year closeouts. Does anyone know of any places that are having sales on G Loomis rods?

My understanding is that G Loomis does not allow discounting of their rods, unless they are discontinued models and Loomis is promoting them. I know I've never seen any Loomis rods on sale.

I don't know where in Iowa you are, but there's now a Gander Mountain in Davenport. I know they have G Loomis in their Wisconsin stores.

They are closing out rods due to a change in color coding for next years models. Four Seasons in Red Wing had a bunch at about 25% off (can't remember exactly). If I were you I would make a day of it and fish the river while you're at it. The bite is going strong now.

Haven't seen any Loomis stuff on sale at the Gander in Bloomington yet, but just about everything else in the fishing department is on sale.

Check with a guide in your area and see if he has any used ones. He may sell them for 1/2 price.

Was at the Gander Mountain store in Rockford today they have the GL2 rods about $15 off $99.99 for the rod.
