Used to fish this area several years ago.
One of my faavorites is Lake Washington (Off of Hwy 22) between Mankato and St. Peter....some nice structure and decent fish. Caught several limits of 18 to 20-inchers with a couple of +25 inchers that were released
Lake Madison is also a good lake....it is a numbers lake - up to 20-inchers.
Lake German/Jefferson are hot/cold lakes....when they are hot - no other lake comes close......but when they are cold....your beer will freeze in the boat!!! Usaully hotter than colder in early July.
Eagle lake is another one that I heard a lot about, but never had the opportunity to fish it

I used to fish French and Roberds quite a bit. Good for walleyes and l.m. bass. Got pretty weedy in the summer. Anyone have info on the current status of these lakes?
