Ive been lookin for the last couple of month for a "deal". THey all price out about the same... bass pro , cabelas, gander...The tattle flag is a little pricy. As well I have set mine to run off a mast ( closest rod 1.75 inch dia placed in a pedestal post) so when the strike occurs it will seperate. 15 bones for a platic flag and a spring is a little tought to swallow. Take your wife to dinner then get up early the next morning and go get em. Luck to ya....Irish

I have a number of off-shore planer boards. Waverly Wannabe and I bought one tattle tale flag kit and we then matched up all the other pieces in the kit from the local hardware store to outfit the remaining planer boards. The tattle tale flags that are sent in the kit are no different than the flags already on the original planer boards. Saved significant $$ by outfitting the boards ourself.

I too made my own tattle flag with a c-73 spring, bottom bouncer wire arm, bead, plastic washer, and changed the black clips to the red ones. it cost over half as much.

Rigs, email me w/fax or your email and I have list of parts. As said above flags are the same so why there is another in kit I don't know.
Will be turkey hunting next 5 days, but will check email inthe evening.

Try Lakeside Fishing Shop at lakesidefishingshop.com
I paid $22.95 for the board at their Farminton store. They had the tattle tale flag kits for $14.95
