Hi

There have been lots of folks out on Mille Lacs despite the rain and wind - There is still a focus on the north end and around the corner from Carlsona to Agate Bay. This area has been the most productive so far this season, but is starting to show signs of wear. The mud flats and deep rock reefs have started to heat up, and on any given day can provide some good walleye action. The gravel is spotty so far... don’t overlook it, but it probably shouldn’t be a starting spot just yet. Top spots this week include the Needle, 3 mile, Lakeside, Pope’s Point and the Graveyard. Leeches fished on a slip bobber or a floating snell are the way to go. The massive amounts of rain have stained/clouded the water somewhat, making sightfishing for smallies tough.

The surface temp is 63 degrees.

The night ban ends at 12:01 a.m. on June 13.

The weather for the weekend (from weatherunderground) looks like this:
Today: Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning...then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 70 to 75. East winds 5 to 15 mph shifting to the south 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening...then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows 55 to 60. Southwest winds 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 75. North winds 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows 55 to 60. Northwest winds 5 to 20 mph.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs 75 to 80. West winds 10 mph.

The first quarter moon is 6-14-2005.

Onamia Days is this weekend - there is always lots of stuff to do... check it out!!

Don't forget to check out our weekly "Shop Special" before your visit!

Headed to Canada? We have "vacation packs" of nightcrawlers already in bedding!

Finally...
Ole and Lena wanted to go on a trip to Fargo. Lena called the airlines information desk and inquired, "How long does it take to fly from Minneapolis to Fargo?" "Just a minute," said the busy clerk. "Well, never mind" said Lena, "Ole gets motion sickness, and if it has to go that fast I think we’ll just take da bus."

Have a great weekend,
