my family is interested in buying a home on lake shetek in sw minnesota. can anyone give me some information on this lake? water quality? water level? fishing/recreation? property values? thanks for your help.

I would talk to the locals that live there first. I have heard that they have a real battle going on with a sewer system that they want to install and the property owners are to pay for.
The answer all depends where you are from - its not a bad lake what so ever - however if you are accustomed to northern lakes it will take some getting adjusted to. Its not a very deep lake but does cover quite a bit of shoreline.
fishing - not bad .. all depends what end of the lake you end up on.
