The Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club members are working the evening shift on West Okoboji. Using slip floats and leeches will keep one busy. Silver Lake at Lake Park has slowed down for walleyes but it can take off at any time during the heat of summer.
Some members have been traveling to the Missouri River with most reporting good catches if there is not too much wind.
We also have a group that has crossed the South Dakota border into North Dakota. They fish about six lakes that surround Dri Lake. They are doing pretty good on most trips on walleye, northern and perch.
Several members have just returned from Wabigoon Lake near Dryden, Ontario Canada. They stayed at Merkles Resort. They had walleyes up to 31-inches. Merkles number is 807 938-6428.
Another group is getting ready to head to North Caribou, north of Pickle Lake on a fly-in trip in August. www.northcaribou.com
The Iowa Great lakes Fishing Club is in its 39th year of helping fisherman. Membership dues run January 1st to December 31st. $20.00 membership includes husband, wife and all kids living at home under the age of 18. For more information contact Kendall Mead at 712 262-7084.
