Be sure to remember that Minnesota has a new regulation for walleyes this year. Anglers can keep only one(1) walleye over twenty(20) inches this year. As I understand it, that is statewide.

As more lakes are managed individually, it is really important to know if there are special regs on the lake or body of water you're on.

Bob,
Would you happen to know the bag and size limits they put on Red Lake? Going to Winni in a couple of weeks and thinking of making the run up there for a day or so. Thanks for any help, and keep up the good work on the show......

2 walleye limit, protected slot from 17-26, one over 26.

If you get the chance to fish Upper Red Lake, you should do so.

In Minnesota there are lots of different regs for different lakes. If you want to keep some fish, be sure you know the regs for the particular lake you'll be fishing.

Hope this helps.
