Walleyes in Wisconsin were really good this week. Started near Oconto Wisconsin in Green Bay, fished with Dean Arnoldusson. Arrived Monday p.m., windy but the bite was pretty good. Pulled Northland Bait-Fish Image spinners behind Off Shore boards, caught walleyes up to 18 inches in 6 feet of water.

Next day was almost flat, took walleyes up to 29 inches. Had to be in the stained water areas.

Traveled to Vilas County Tuesday p.m., fished with Patrick Sheahan who is a fishing guide in that area, and Mark Gostisha from Frabill. Caught lots of walleyes in 8-10 feet of water, throwing 1/8th ounce stand-up Fireball jigs. Nice fish, mostly 17-20 inchers.

Season is starting good, hope it continues.

Thank you for pointing that out, I slipped up there.

We fished several lakes in Vilas County. I rarely ask the name of the lake, I go wherever our host wants to. However, I believe he referred to "The Chain" as one of the areas we fished.

I am fortunate to get to fish a lot of bodies of water in the course of a year and just don't remember the names of all of them, and, as I said above, I am not in the habit of asking where we are. Don't know why, I just don't.

And, as has been addressed here before, if we are on a small body of water, that body of water isn't identified. It is irresponsible for outdoor communicators to identify small, fragile bodies of water on t.v., radio, print media, or the Internet.

Again, thank you very much for pointing out my omission. It is appreciated.
