custom rods

i was thinking of either making or having some custom downrigger rods made that are done on the guide-less blanks. any one know were ya could get the blanks and have any input on using guide-less rods.

I have a pair of 8.5 ft I got from
cabela's in there bargin bin fo 18 dallors used them two seasons
they work great for fire line the rods ar limber so dont tear out on hook sets bur ar hard to get line through when setting up, You dont want to pull the line inside the end when retying or it will take some time to feed it back through. been there done this. I think there price is about 69 dollars Depthmaster Tournament 8' 6" med
12-20 lb test.
