The
Weekend Outlook
6-8-2006
Hi
The strong bite continues on Mille Lacs AGAIN this week - we're finding great walleye action on the mud flats, gravel bars and even on the shallow rock reefs. Your daytime bite is best in deep (25-32 ft.) water with crawlers/spinners or leeches on a long-line rig. Greg's Flat, Boot Flat and the 4-mile gravel have each turned out some excellent fish. Most folks are finding a mix of keepers and throw backs. Toward evening look to the shallow (8-15 ft) rock reefs for your best bobber action - Izaty's Reef, Mazominee Point and Rocky Reef have been good so far this week. Use a slip bobber/leech/jig set-up here. The night ban is currently still in effect on Mille Lacs, but it will end at 12:01 AM on June 12th.
The weather for the weekend (from the National Weather Service) looks like this:
Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 68. East wind around 7 mph.
Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. East wind between 3 and 7 mph.
Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 71.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low near 52.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 73.
The full moon is Sunday, June 11th.
Onamia Days is this weekend - there is always lots of stuff to do... check it out!!
Don't to check out our weekly "shop special" at http://www.lundeens.com/shop.html.
Headed to Canada? We have "vacation packs" of nightcrawlers already in bedding!
Finally, What is a "free" gift? Aren't all gifts free?
Have a great weekend,
