Anyone know of a resort, Lake or area in Wisconsin, Minnesota or Dakotas where we can do a fall fishing and duck hunting trip??

Hard to beat anywhere near Devils Lake ND. But with it being dry, not sure of this year for ducks, but I can't imagine NoDak not being better than about anywhere. If you want ducks, stay away from MN, for the most part. Has been very poor on average for several years for me.

You might also try the glacial lakes region in NE SD. Check out http://www.sdglaciallakes.com/. Plenty of lakes in this area, and there is traditionally a pretty decent fall bite on a lot of them, particularly Roy, Waubay, Enemy Swim, and others. I don't do a lot of waterfowl, but I know that there are about a billion sloughs in the vicinity of Webster, SD, and someone would be able to put you on some good hunting. If you came at the right time, you could also throw in some pheasant hunting if you were so inclined.

How is the fishing in Oct. at Devils Lake? I think the Duck hunting can be fantastic around there then.

There is a great little cottage for sale on the Wolf River that is accessible only by boat. This house comes fully furnished with a pontoon boat, satellite dish, wood burning heaters, full bath on 1.2 acres on an island on the Wolf River, Weyauwega, WI. $139,900. You can see it on www.coldwellhomes.com property #WP2K4 or MLS #20605444. Interested in more info? Call me at 715-252-6065 and ask for GayLynn! or you can e-mail me at gholcomb@coldwellhomes.com.

Good Luck!

If you are interested in Lake St Clair I have access to a private marsh on LSC and the fishing is very good. We guide layout hunts and fishing can be arranged very easily.

Devils Lake fishing is awesome that time of the year. Lots of big fish pitching cranks and jigging rocky points and structure.

The puddles havent dried up there and the numbers of waterfowl are still high. Good chance at waterfowl on the big lake this fall too. Plenty of spots to fish/hunt. Make a fun day to hunt AM, fish afternoon, and end the day with more hunting. I plan on doing it alot this fall.
