Any one stayed and/or fished this lake? Looking at staying at Rutgers resort and campground in July. Wondering if anyone would have some infornmation on the lake or resort.:-)

Its a good all around lake for fishing. Walleyes and Northern pike are the most sought after fish on the lake. You should check the DNR Lake report for more information.

Thanks for the reply. Checked the DNR sight. Have read some other forums that have info on the lake and the lake seems to have many opportunities. Walleyes, northerns, sunnies, crappies and perch are found on this lake with good populations. The lake looks good for fishing and the area has atv trails, this should help us keep our three teenage boys busy.
Has anyone stayed or been at Rutgers resort?

I was pleased with the lake reports I saw tonight. I will be checking this out further as soon as the ice goes out.

Found information on the Minnesota DNR site and checked other forums with some fair information. We were looking for a family vacation that we could take the camper, boat and atvs. I think this lake and surronding area will please the whole family. We live about 60 miles west, so if gas hits $4.00/gal, we will still make the trip.

Fished it the 2nd weekend last year, Caught some walleyes, though most were small (under 14 inches).
