I agree! People who are in the industry and looking for someone to bring recognition to a product or company should have his mug on everything. My sons 6 and 10 have been glued to the TV watching him play and know he fishes too. They keep telling me they want to be like Mike someday. Fishing in general should capitalize on this oppurtunity. It's not very often that you have a person who can attract this kind of attention inside the fishing circle. Later, Jay
I heard Mike got into trouble the other night. He was drilling holes in the ice and fishing for walleyes.

Been following Mike's career for a bit now.
Just a piece of information from the ten years ago section today in the bismarck tribune: Mike Peluso scores a hat trick in a 9-2 thrashing of Jamestown high school. But get this; one of the two goals for Jamestown High came from a now popular baseball outfielder playing in the "bigs" for the Anaheim Angels. Can you guess who? Maybe only Mike knows but it was Darin Erstad.
give 'em heck wednesday night mike we'll be watching.

Thanks all! I wish it were that easy, but fishing companies just don't come up to you and ask if you will represent them like the hockey companies do. Don't get me wrong, I wish they did! It will make my life a heck of a lot easier :). Anyway, I am happy doing what I do best, and that is to help bring walleye fishing added exposure. I am amazed at how much attention this is getting and it is great for the future of walleye fishing. Pretty cool stuff for a kid who used to dream of doing both hockey and fishing someday ;). Thanks again! Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999

Some of us care about Mike, and what he's doing, and like to keep up with his adventures through this message board. We're allowed to do that on the "general message" board don'tcha know.(?)
Just skip it and don't read it if it bothers you. Pretty simple.
Happy Holidays! x(

RvRat,
Plenty of us care about Mike and what he is doing. If you are not one of them, check the subject of the post and move on.

As you can see I don't make many posts but am a charter member.
I think thats part of the trouble with the world is nobody cares
about somebody to much of the time.
Good luck Mike, my cousin Dave Christian played in the NHL and besides
himself, himself his dad and two uncles, my cousins won GOLD medals in
hockey for the USA and if thats not patriotic I don't know what is.

Don't tell me, let me guess, you are from warroad?
This is not a hockey site. If all of those who want to follow him should ask him to get his own website and then you can go directly to him and get first hand info and he can start his own fan club.

YO!
Mike is also a very talented Walleye Pro, so the discussions do belong here. He has a page here on WC, on the Pro Page, and also has his own very cool website. If you don't want to read about him, just skip over it. Some of us DO want to keep up with him through this site, instead of going off to another site to do so. Is that ok with the owner of this site? YES!
Time to drop it.
By the way, Mike has a game tonight!! Go Mike!! heheh ;-)

Eh Yo!
Waaaaaaaaazzzzzzzuuuuuuppp with the attitude?
Mike is part of the WC family as well a very positive roll model for future young aspiring anglers and/or sports enthusiast, why wouldn't we want to wish him well. Nice guy makes it good, what could be wrong with that?
I am much happier to see this type of positive post then political bickering or malicious rumor mongering, wouldn't you?
You go Mike!
Besides, he is a Rough Rider!

Right on Juls and Eddy,
Personally, I think its great we are following Mike's career here on WC. He is a member of the WC family and rarely does someone get to follow their dream like he is doing. My hat's off to ya Mike and may you have a long career in both the NHL and the PWT.
Now a little humor for everybody.
A man from North Dakota, I can say this since both BE and I are from North Dakota, was going ice fishing recently. He stopped on the ice and was preparing to drill a hole and start fishing when he heard a booming voice that said "There are no fish down there." So the man picked up his gear and moved a few yards and was just getting ready to drill when the same booming voice said again "There are no fish down there." This happened again on his third try so the man looked skyward and sheepishly asked "Is that you God?" and the voice replied, "No, I am the rink manager, you are in the Englestad Arena."
Take care and good fishing.

Juls, you're right again! I am registered and logged in on the site. I don't know why it shows me as a guest user.
If I want to check out Peluso, I look in my local paper, the Bismarck Tribune and it has the stats, no big deal. Do I support the guy . Yup
I can and do watch the HAWKS on ESPN when they play. If you guys got to use this board to tell the world about Peluso, Go ahead.
Heck, Denny Green, Kent Hrbeck, Nolan Ryan, Larry Czonka, Tony Dean and many others don't get any recognition for their notority in the fishing world either on this site either and this is why I say get your own web site , email address or whatever to talk hockey.

I like seeing the updates on Peluso here mainly because my local newspaper doesn't have much more coverage than the scores. The only drawback for Mike is all the fishing he'll miss when the Hawks are deep into the playoffs. I think he'll be able to handle it though.
For the folks who don't like it, just skip the topic, it'll be a long winter.

Many of us know Mike, personally and through this web site. It is nice to see so much support for a friend. Would you have the same narrow minded pin-head attitude if there was a post here asking for help in the form of thoughts and prayers if someone here was sick or in a bad crash? I do nt think so as you have not opened your pie hole when that has happened. I am sick to death of you loud mouth arm chaired web masters that think you control the content of a site. If you dont like the post, move on! And for God's sake, SHUT UP!

I can understand the tone of your post. But ask yourself this, would you feel the same way if you were Peluso?
If your answer is still yes, I can respect your position. Then my advice is the same that I go by. If the subject matter is of no interest to you, then don't read the post.
Just my humble opinion, and have a Merry Christmas.........R
