Ok guys, my assumptions would tell me that with the number of pranksters on the RCL tour there has to be some pretty good stories of pranks from today. I was wondering how many boats took off without drain plugs, without bow mount batteries, etc. etc. Lets here some of the pranks that were played. I would assume no one would go as extreme as what I have mentioned but there has to be stuff going on.

So lets hear about it.

My buddy had his compressor go out for the second time in 6 days. Also had a lower unit explode in between. Does that count.

The biggest prank was played at the gas station. There were a few boats that filled up with up to 20 gallons of water in the fuel tank. I know of some electrical problems and a blown engine too. The tech teams were quite busy.

When you ASSume something you run the risk of making yourself into the first three letters of that word. The word assume is most often used by someone attempting to explain why what they were doing turned out to be wrong. As to the content of your inquiry about the Spring Valley RCL it would seem a bit odd to most. However, there was indeed some vandalism done to at least one boat that made it into the top five after the first day. What was done took a working knowledge of walleye boats and set a bowmount up to be rendered useless the second day and not to be discovered untill on the water. While troublesome the vandalism did not stop that competitor from using his transom electric motor to make the Top Twenty cut. As to your reference hinting at April's Fool mischief and your mention of bowmounts in your post, I learned a long time ago from a friend who was a Chief of Police not to believe in coincidence when it comes to something going wrong. Maybe we will find out what you really know. I will be forwarding this post and a request to W/C for your IP address so I at least know who you are and who you associate with. Good luck. You may have some explaining to do.

I support you 100% on this action Mr. Harsh. Also believe that a few of the competitors themselves can be viewed as part of the problem. Criminal damage to property, deceit, theft, and subterfuge is the name of the tournament game for some of these competitors. If not them, then it is their cohorts performing at their direction.

The only way to root these guys out is to pass on any evidence a rightful angler may get, on to the tournament director, or on to the local police department should it be criminal in nature.

Far better for there to be 100 competitors doing the best to win the prize, than 170 - with an element of contestants trying to ruin his opposition's chances.

What are you talking about? The guy asked about trolling motor batteries.I for one have had someone un-plug me only to plug themselfs in.I would'nt do that but some do. I was down there for 2 weeks and never had a problem. The hotel I stayed at was packed almost every night. Pete what happened to your gear? I stayed at the same place and did'nt hear of anything happening.

As to any further details regarding the nature and extent of the vandalism done, they will remain confidential at this time. What was done was intended to take out a competitor out of the competition for day two as more valuble items in the boat were not taken. Reread the first post and my other reply. You missed something and also assumed it was my boat. I did not say who's boat it was.

I think the reason why "what in the world" assumed that it was your boat is because first off you made top five on day one and made the cut on day two. But so did other people.

Wow!

Not exactly the response I was expecting.

Just a simple post to see if any of this type of thing happens on "the tour" and you try to turn it into something huge. FYI, I had no communication with anyone down at the spring valley tournament although I was interested to see how everyone did by watching the leaderboard daily. I am in Wisconsin and as a tournament fisherman would never do anything to harm anyone's safety or ability to compete. I was talking about simple pranks that may go on between friends before and after the tournament and have absolutely no knowledge of anything that happened down there.

As far as your shooting your mouth off about "assuming". Now you know what "I really know" as a reference from your post. I guess you are right on one fact. Don't assume, because it makes you look like the first three letters of the word. I guess from what others have told me I would expect a higher level of professionalism from a touring professional like yourself. Rather than jumping on an internet chat board and attacking someone for no reason whatsoever.

Just how do you think this paragraph gives anything to this debate? If there was not any "April Fooling" going on at Spring Valley, why did you start this thread and why don't you prove this didn't happen?

I can tell you personally, there are certain touring "professionals" who would not hesitate for a moment to get in the way of their competition, rather than just going out and being their best.

Really makes me wonder what side of the competitive fence your on.

Looks like Mr. TILLER owes someone an apology!!!

The content and motive of your ANONYMOUS post was questioned, you were not attacked. Events occurred that shouldn't have at the Spring Valley RCL. If indeed the content of your post was coincidental to those events, why don't you come forward and identify yourself? That would be the "Professional" thing to do as your IP address cames up in St. Louis, Missouri not Wisconsin.

Pete,

If you know his I.P. is St. Louis, you should be able to narrow the field down quite a bit by checking with the RCL for all contestants from St.Louis that fished at Spring Valley. They also probably have email addresses of everyone also, so you should be able to find a match!

Rick
Your out of line again!! This guy started the post, now your telling him he should not respond to an attack on what he posted. You were not there and should not post on something you know nothing about! Mr. Harsh was there and knew of some problems, let him deal with it! I was there also and had no problems nor did I hear of any until Pete posted. Let it go Rick your not involved and should should not tell a poster what he should say!

What started out as a post that was meant to give us all a view of what fun the competitors had with each other on April Fool's day at the tournament has turned into a ridiculous joke.

As I have stated before, I am in Wisconsin. Don't know a ton about computers but your information about St. Louis Missouri is not correct. What concerns me is that because your name is Pete Harsh you can get any information you want from Walleye Central whether it is correct or not. IP addresses and locations? That is scary for all of us. Could we get the same info? Sounds like a security concern.

As far as what happened at the tournament, I have no idea nor do I really care. I just wanted to here some simple pranks that happened. Nothing to do with screwing anyones tournament up. Pranks among a group of friends and competitors. As I said before, I enjoy competing in tournaments and would hate to see anyone deliberately mess with anyone to affect their performance. Especially at this level.

An apology? I don't expect one or need one. I know if Pete apologized he woudln't mean it anyway, and because I am an anonymous poster he has no one to apologize to and that is fine.

As for sevenmmm, well, as always I have no reply for your post. I am aware that you just want to make things spicy. A personal fetish I guess.

I do understand Pete's perspective but would certainly not go about things this way. I respect the fact that someone had their equipment messed with and they are all in search of answers. If it was me I would be looking for answers also.

I still believe it was a pretty straighforward thread to begin with. Some people just read into things the wrong way.

Then you claim in your last post: The content and motive of your ANONYMOUS post was questioned, you were not attacked."

---------------------------------------------

Sorry Mr. Tiller, IMHO you made an accusation, which is an attack. You suggested he knows more about the situation than he says he does.

Unless you have some kind of proof of this other than your "hunch" from hanging with a Cheif of Police a you are ASSuming yourself.

I personally think you over reacted to the post. But hey, all I did was stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Oh yeah of course I'm out of line, and I beg humbly from my knees for your forgiveness......

For the folks not involved in competitive fishing but entertained by this thread, there truly is alot of back biting, theft, damage, deceit, subterfuge, and other way beyond just out trying to catch the biggest fish going on behind the tournament scene.

For those of you who have seen my posts continually be ridiculed and picked apart, just who do you think are these personalities hiding behind anyomous posts really are?

I have logged the many insults and events (including theft and other very interesting ordeals) that has happened to me the last year on the trail, and the names of these perpetrators are clearly written into these paragraphs.

From this point on the gloves are off, and will be watching for threads like these to begin airing out these events and put faces to the debauchary. And you bet I'll have alot of fun exposing these petty pretenders!
