: 2004 PWT Fields- Lets Have Some Fun-Contest
Bigfoot 02-10-2004, 06:04 AM I've been following this thread since it was announced, and have to agree with Pete, Steve, and Gary that this is going to be one of the toughest fields ever put together. For those that follow the Walleye game, you can see the fields are full of " OLD DOGS " and a few pick of the litter young pups just waiting for their chance to lead the pack. If you just look real close there are only a few, and I mean "very few " of the top names missing from the fields. Also a few of the Old Guys coming back.( sorry Steve I had to throw that in there}. I commend Jim and Charlie for doing their usual outstanding job for putting such a strong field together.
I'm going to miss bumping heads with them , but due to recovering from back surgery and my promotional schedule I have to back off on my tournaments this year. But in the words of the Governor from the great state of Califonia " I"LL BE BACK ". To all the guys, and Gal (Cheri) Good Luck and I'll miss ya's this year.
For those that think they know the players, and want to have some fun. Print out the list of entries and pick the one's you think will make it into the Mercury Championship field. This will give you a chance to test your knowledge of the field. E-Mail me your choices, 30 from the Top 60 and 10 from each division. I'll put up a All Star Rod and custom Diawa "Crown Royal" baitcast reel combo to the top three winners. Lets have some fun with this.

sevenmmm 02-10-2004, 10:08 AM Ok, let me think about it for awhile.
Kinda do the same kind of picks - in a nascar game. Always had great fun thinking through the many scenarios. :-)
Western Walleye Editor 02-10-2004, 11:35 AM Great idea Rick! Western Walleye Magazine will also throw in a baseball style cap. We will send them to Rick to include in the top 3 packages.

Bigfoot 02-11-2004, 10:40 AM LORD! I never realized what I was getting myself into. The entries for this little give away are pouring in. I've looked at all of them and there are some definate favorites starting to appear.
FYI, the rod and real combo's that are being given away have a value over $200.00. So keep the entries coming in and when the first tournament starts, I'll post who had what vote's.
You only have until April 21st to get your votes in. Then we have to wait until the end of the regular season to see who makes it to the PWT Championship.
Good luck guys and gals!
Rick LaCourse
wheels 02-12-2004, 08:58 AM Thanks again for putting up the prizes and tracking this. It'll be fun to watch!

Juls_OH 02-13-2004, 07:40 AM Just to let those of you who have already gotten yor entries in know, Bruce DeShano, of Off Shore Tackle, has donated a set of boards to each of the winners of our little contest.
For those of you who have not signed up yet, here's your chance to get in the pot to win a rod/reel combo, a set of Off Shore inline planer boards, and a hat from Western Walleye Magazine. There will only be three winners.
It's easy, just pick our favorites to qualify for the PWT Championship, and email them to Rick LaCourse at ricklacourse@msn.com.
No entries will be taken AFTER the start of the first PWT tournament, so get them in asap.
Thanks, and have a great day!

Juls_OH 03-07-2004, 06:47 AM You need to email your choices to us. Make a list and send it to ricklacourse@msn.com
Make sure to put in the subject line that it is for the "PWT Contest", or chances are it will get deleted. He won't open any email he doesn't recognize. He did before, and got almost 10K infected files on the laptop from two different icky viruses..hahaha
Thanks,
Juls
Moose 04-15-2004, 05:16 AM How do I find out what division everyone is in? Where do I find what the top 60 are?

REELMAN 04-15-2004, 11:59 AM How do we know if we are in. I sent my picks a month ago and never heard anything back?
I will throw in a hand made rock sock for the rod/reel combo that Bigfoot is offering. Let me know where to send it.
Juls_OH 04-15-2004, 05:00 PM We have you in the pot Reelman. If Rick opens the emails he usually doesn't respond. If I open them, I send a short note back saying we got it. I just sent you a response from the email you sent awhile back.
