That lure must have really been a marketing bust. Bass Pro has bins full of them for a buck. I can remember all the ads when it was first introduced.."..carved by the owner himself...". I never bought one or used one, but I wonder if it failed for not catching fish, or not catching fishermen.

I'll give you the rest of mine . . . LOL - I just can't seem to catch many eyes on them. I don't know if they are more of a bass lure or what?

I have about a half dozen of them. I've caught a few snakes on them, but no walleyes, and I even tried them when there was a hot bite once.

I bought about a dozen when they first came out, gave them plenty of time to intice a walleye, never happened. I did catch some large snakes on the mustard ones though. I think they're still over priced at 50 cents....

I was trolling on lake butte des mortes this year in the wwa tournament and went through a school of fish. Out of the six rods we were trolling, five of them all had a walleye on at the same time. The only one that didn't catch a walleye was the risto rap. But I have had success on them were there were a lot of little white bass.

Maybe it's from reading fishing magazines, but i just don't care for fat baits when fishing for walleyes. Just tend to stick with slightly longer/thinner profiles. At fifty cents I think I'd buy some too though.

I bought two of them last spring, gold metallic and silver metalic. Caught eyes on the gold one in the spring in shallow water, that's about it.

My partner and I spent a few hours fishing smallies with them during the WC gathering. They produced a 6-2,5-4, and a "baby" 3 pounder.....all on the same pass !! I spent about 30 minutes sorting through the bin at the Gurnee Bass Pro the night of our club meeting and picked up a basket full. They had a much better selection of colors and sizes than Wal-Mart.
