Two companies to boycott

Cargill and Tyson foods. Both hire so many undocumented illegals they are shutting their plants Monday in "observance" of Immigrant Day tomorrow. Sorry, my money isn't going to help put more Americans out of work or keep supporting Tyson who turned an all American workforce into nothing but illegals for supressed wages. Plenty of Americans wanted those jobs. They even sued Tyson in federal court for them.

Have'nt followed this closely, but seen on the news those who say they make america what it is and that the US would not be what it is with out them working.

Tyson Foods.Spent 16 years in one of their plants.I know first hand on what goes on in those places.I finally got smart and left.Trust me when I say this.Mr Tyson is making it so that he only wants one type of employee,and it isn't Americans.

Unfortunately, big business and their "lobbying money" speaks far louder than LEGAL CITIZENS. Unless the majority of LEGAL CITIZENS takes a stand and boycotts the actions of our government officials to look out for OUR best interests, nothing will change. Except the profit margin & "bonus package" the CEO receives. It is surprising that the ILLEGALS are as unified as they are and have the "backbone" to stand up for themselves, yet the majority of LEGAL CITIZENS just go with the flow and put up with it, instead of showing a little "backbone" ourselves. The squeaky wheel gets the grease I guess.

They want full rights of an American citizen without LEGALLY becoming one.

They want a Spanish version of the National Anthem.

They want a Spanish speaking represenative at their workplaces.

They want access to social programs we LEGAL citizens pay for the second they step foot ILLEGALLY across the border.

They want want to run around waving Mexican flags at their protests even though they are ILLEGAL and supposedly want to be Americans.

They want to sue now when an employer fires them for blowing off work to go protest with our dear ACLU backing them.

They don't want a fence or wall built to stop the flow of more ILLEGALS

They don't want to have to learn English. We must conform to them.

They don't want to have to pay the back taxes they owe.

Why does does it always come down to big business and rich CEOs?
I know average citizens who hire illegals because it is cheaper than hiring a legitimate mason,carpenter,concrete worker,gardener,lawn care,roustabout...you name it.It's a much bigger problem than just big businesses.

Boycotting Cargil and Tyson is not going to solve this issue....and is a relatively childish approach to this dilemna. (Not to mention these companies are gigantic, and have markets worldwide. Your boycott would be nothing more than a pimple on a knats @ss, buzzing around there ear.) Until the legal American public steps to the plate on this issue, we will see no solution.

I'm not sure about Tyson and Cargill, but most of the smaller landscapers, roofers etc....they cant FIND anyone to work except mexicans and other immigrants. If it wasnt for them, you either simply could not get anything built or fixed or the price would be high sky due to demand and shortage of workers. Our schools arent pointing the kids in the direction of manual labor or skilled trades. Like it or not, immigrants, illegal or not, are a here to stay and an important part of our workforce.

The reason I mentioned big business & rich CEOs is because the average "Mom & Pop" business doesn't "bribe" oops, I mean pay lobbyists thousands & thousands of $$$ to politicians to let them keep their profits & hiring practices the way THEY LIKE IT. Besides do you really think that "Pedro" knows about "Joe's Construction" or is it more likely that the ILLEGALS know about Tyson Foods? I'm sure that there are many small companies who use ILLEGALS in their workforce but shutting down the "magnet" of these large companies who DEFY OUR LAWS and hire these ILLEGALS would seem to "catch" more of the ILLEGALS in 1 swooping "sting operation". I'm not holding my breath that the "government authorities" will do anything to UPHOLD THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY.

Of course it's not the solution. Every little bit helps. Like writing off any political candidate who supports that position. Writing any and all reps. Childish? Think not. Complacent people like you are the root of the solution just as you said. When you people get off your butts and do ANYTHING except criticize us people who give a crap, even passing on that Tyson box of chicken, then we'll be getting somewhere.

Hey Terroreyes, have you been watching Lou Dobbs on CNN concerning this matter? He was talking about some ideas that LEGAL CITIZENS could do to get OUR VOICES heard. BTW, for the people that think this isn't a big deal, if the estimates are correct that 12 MILLION ILLEGALS are walking our streets and 10% of them are "felony criminals"(murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, gang leaders, etc) that means that OUR GOVERNMENT has allowed 1.2 MILLION OF THESE CRIMINALS to prey on the LEGAL CITIZENS of the USA. Are you OK with that?

Just what are we supposed to do? Every politician from the pres on down knows what Joe 6 pack wants. The Minute Men are doing everything they legally can. The immigration service has been hobbled by Washington. Our voices have been clear enough/long enough, yet nothing changes. Pat Buchanan would stop this nonsense in a heartbeat, yet I bet the very name makes you cringe.
This country doesn't have the hair to elect somebody who would actually make a difference.
Boycott Tyson? Hahahahaha, what a joke. Those people have been so corrupt for so long that a million chickens wouldn't matter a bit. They'd just fly in a few more kilos of cocaine.
The only way to change is to get a politician with some hair and no dirt/skeletons that can be used to compromise them. Since we'll never elect such a critter, assuming one actually exists, we're screwed.

Thought you had to be a UNITED STATES CITIZEN and REGISTERED VOTER to V O T E!!!!!!! Besides that, illegals more than likely CAN'T READ, WRITE OR SPEAK ENGLISH! And so, this begs the question, WHAT VOTES?? The current administration is "PRO ILLEGAL" . . . and that is what the bottom line is on this deal! In another thread, it was mentioned that we needed to elect some leaders with "hair!" Don't forget to add some "balls," (i.e. "GUTS"), while you're at it!

Marv, I hate to break this to you, but both parties are pro-illegal. The Dems need the illegal vote, and the GOP needs the minimum wage workers!

The time is quickly approaching that we will need to close our boarders, or this country we know and love, will no longer be.

A MUST TO READ IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE USA

This will definitely make you think. We all know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal - was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"
"Here is how they do it," Lamm said:

=First to destroy America, "Turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. "The historical scholar Seymour Lipset put it this way: 'The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."
Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

=Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrically and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.'" Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

="Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

="My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

="My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy Persia threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to over come two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'unum,' we can balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

="Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits ~ make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate." "Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them." In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said,

="Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book." There was no applause . A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Every discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.'

American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength." Governor Lamm, walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast.
