I read on anather board that there is 4" to 5" out about 50 yards at HooDoo Point. Only 2" at McKinnley Park.

If you are interested in Lake Vermilion information, check out www.fishingminnesota.com Then click onto the Forums-hot tips-secrets button, and scroll down to the Lake Vermilion area. It is a really good messageboard specific to Vermilion with a lot of information from local guides.
Good luck.

Have a place on vermilion just called up there and there is 4 to 5 inches in the narrows and the bays. Big bay is frozen over but how thick can't tell. Some fish houses out already. Going over x-mas myself .

I work second shift now so, the Eagle Eye Cam at 10:00pm was as black as the ace of spades. I guess I will look at it tommorro at home.
