which of the top 50 walleye pros do not network their information with another pro and split their money at the end of the year?

I know of one for sure, Bruce "Doc" Samson, and I believe Darryl Christenson. I don't know if they are in the top 50 that you are looking at.

That is what makes Bruce's win at Ottertail that much better, and Darryl finishing second.

I would like to see a rule on all tours about not sharing of info, at all.

Fishing is an individual sport, not a team sport. If that's the way they want to go, sharing, then make it a team sport, with a combined total of all their finishes.

Just about all on that list share money or data?

I am happy to hear that there are some pros who do not network information and money....otherwise to me ....there is more pride in just being a bullhead guide.

Cell phones are completely illegal. Fine. But you can't expect a couple of old fishings buddies, that grew up together, to keep everything a secret. Until talking amongst friends becomes illegal on the tours the will continue to happen. Walleye fishing has enough marketing problems, why is this petty problem an issue? It would seem to me that with all the time and effort that all the responders to this response to this have, we might be able to figure out why the bass and trout guys get all the press.

Does tail piping count as sharing information? I would bet 98% of the field share information or get it from the locals. Isn't it part of fishing and having the "edge". Just a thought. I wouldn't think of fishing any body of water, familar or not without making a few calls, no matter what my intent is. How would you enforce no sharing of money or infomation. Just one more rule.......to worry about. I say there is nothing wrong with sharing information. Part of the sport....

In the process respect and show your appreciation by acknowledging where you got the information....just a common courtesy forgotten today

Two,
Your wrong. Daryl has a teammate.

Right!

I wasnt sure on Daryl

I wasn't exactly sure on Daryl, I thought he worked by himself.

I didn't say talking with locals or baitshops should be disallowed, that's part of doing your homework. What I said is sharing info between anglers should be disallowed. It might be a part of the walleye game, but it's not part of the bass fisherman.

I share info with a couple guys on tour, I have also done it by myself. I can tell you from experience that it is easier to have team mates. You can spend more time perfecting your technique, and the more guys you work with, the more spots you can have.

With that being said, I still would like a no sharing info. I believe on the three major tours, PWT, FLW, and MWC if that rule was in effect, the pro's would follow the rule.

I am not against sharing information. It is how I know most of what I know about fishing....especially trout fishing. If you are going to do it during a tournament, however, why not change the rules to make it a team tournament. It just seems misleading to potray an angler of the year as someone who is fishing by himself when in truth he might actually be an mvp of a team fishing against other individuals who don't have equal support and sponsership.

Here's a hoot, make it mandatory to post all your results from prefishing on an online blog, daily after everyday's fishing....now that would get some press! Where, how, how many, how big....

How do you think Jeff Russell just won MWC on Bay DeNoc. It's all about sharing info, and trade secret's.
