Are you kidding?...this is only the beginning. Most of the world hates America more now than it ever has before,.....and the Middle East/ Muslim world? I dont think we will ever see an end to this. Not until the day comes that our planet as a whole is threatened by a massive catastorphe / armagaden. Then MAYBE everyone can set aside there differences and unite. Until then....we had better be prepared for anything.

I said the "right way" meaning if we change our foreign policies "the right way" we'd have a better impact on the minds of the rest of the world. I don't have the answers and never pretended to, but anything is better than where were headed now.

I don't think we know the "right way". We have tried showering them with money and all they do is hate us more for being a "rich country". I don't think the money that we give them ever gets to where it was intended. Same with food in Somalia, the warlords got it. We are over there beating on them and trying to get them to accept a democratic form of goovernment which they despise in the first place. These people have been feuding for thousands of years. Twelve year old kids go to school with an AK47 on their shoulder. They have been under the rule of dictators and terrorists for so long that they can't imagine another way of life let alone accept a democratic one that works across the pond. We have always tried to buy friendship and it has never worked. It seems like North Korea starts raising he** and threatening to build some nukes and we give them food, fuel oil and billions in cash and they are quiet for a while. A few years later, when they want something they start threatening again and we buy them off. It has become a pattern that we started and don't know how to stop. The Canadians laugh at the way our country spends money overseas and our own people go without healthcare. I don't blame them. Now it is time for the post about how we don't want to be an isolationist country. This is true, but we are already getting our butts kicked in the world marketplace. Why pay them to do it. My opinion may be wrong, but it's mine. At least I retired before my job got outsourced, but that's another subject.:cheers:

mac: I think you may have something there. I am not happy with either party right now and distrust polititicians.I think the mear fact there were no communications,speaks volumes about our system.
