I see you're back :-) and in a way, I'm glad to see it. I guess I did miss you a bit? So here's what this post is all about. In all the posts that you've made I have not once seen any real evidence of any fishing knowledge. I'm really wondering if you do fish???? (This post is just to satify female curiousity.) So tell us, Tough Guy, what are some of your favorite lures and presentations??? Do you have a boat and if so what kind????
Do you just fish for Eyes or are you into anything else? What are your favorite haunts to fish? Rivers or lakes??? Have you fished the Great Lakes at all??? Favor any particular rods and reels? And I challenge you to answer this Post with facts not nonsense... if you can!

Now, now.... be nice. I don't want to get this deleted because of bashing. I'm serious. I'm trying to figure out if he fishes.
Crash, he always posts under Tough Guy so he isn't anymore of a no namer than you are :-) Well, to most people anyway. Remember you like your anomity with most people too....

Tough Guy

What...a challenge? Tough Guy love a good challenge. Ness getting too snoopy though, want too many details at once. What interest would Tough Guy have if he gave out all secrets? Tough Guy will say this. I could ice fish year around if "North Pole" lake didn't get soft in summer. I don't have any fancy expensive electronics or shantys. Tough Guy just sits on his bucket and catches fish. I no longer use any type of live bait, to increase challenge. I use all types of jigging lures and only fish for the mighty walleye. Yes, Ness, I do fish!

Tough Guy

Tough Guy hope you don't get job guessing weights at circus, you go broke. I must have offended you in the past. Tough Guy sorry.

I like Tough Guy. Tough Guy can fish in my boat any day. I hope Tough Guy don't go away again.

Ness
01-24-2001, 12:06 PM
Ahhh, how about sharing some fishing info, Tough Guy. What jigging lures do you find most effective against the mighty walleye????? Please be specific... afterall, I am just a girl :-)

Tough Guy is great guy. Glad to see he fits in. Tonto thinks that you posters here are way too serious some times. Tough Guy is original. It takes courage to take a full broadside from a cyber battleship and come back. Tough Guy......don't sign anything when agents come knocking. Many are Sheephead in Walleye clothing.

Say Ness, I think Tough Guy has stated in earlier posts that for serious posts he uses another handle. Tough Guy is just his more playful alter ego. Maybe this is just a game of 20 questions to take the mask off of Tough Guy? Maybe I should get out in the sun more often and not imagine conspiracies everywhere? Pat K

Rough Guy, Eh!

Rough Guy say girls no ice fish. They should stay home and clean Rough Guy house...

Mean Mike

that attitude will make you a lonely rough guy.

Ness
01-24-2001, 02:07 PM
I asked a simple question about what jigging lures you prefer and you won't answer that???? Maybe you can't answer it????

Judge Smith

And very poor one too. I like guys like RG in my court room. Oh and I do not discriminate when I split up the assets. It would not be American.

Rough Guy, Eh?
01-24-2001, 02:32 PM
Rough guy have no assets worth anything, he only have what he need. Triton boat, glass rod and Jiffy ice drill.

P.S. Rough Guy lay more pipe in Canada than Wabesha plumbing...

Only in Quebec sib. Tough Guy couldn't be from there though. They do not allow people to speak Engish. Only French. You can be jailed for conversing in English.

Tough Guy

Tough Guy splitting a gut! You guys and gals are a riot. I love you all, and don't forget "whole world love Tough Guy". Tell me Scott and Zach haven't gotten a chuckle out of this now.

Ness

Crash, are you hinting at something????

stewart
01-24-2001, 03:09 PM
Please. The 'dur et pur'seperatists constitute only 20% of the population in Quebec. It's just that they make for interesting press with their comments about 'little bits of red rag' and all.

Juls_WI
01-24-2001, 03:24 PM
What's up with this "little bits of Red Rag"? What's that all about?

Juls

Canadian Red Neck
01-24-2001, 03:31 PM
I think our learned friend is referring to our great Canadian Flag, which has a lot of red in it. The french or Quebec flag has lots of Blue in it. I mean the colour blue not Labatts Blue the Beer of choice there. However the more beer they drink the lippier they get about how distinct they are.

Tough Guy
01-24-2001, 03:39 PM
Don't feel disappointed Ness. You got more information out of me than anyone else has. Tough Guy will give you more opportunities, but you must be patient, just like ice fishing.

Juls_WI
01-24-2001, 03:42 PM
I understand now. Thanks. I just hope my asking, doesn't take this thread in another direction. Good to see you back with us Tough Guy...;-)

Juls

Ness
01-24-2001, 04:04 PM
Juls, no one could destroy this thread anymore than it's already been :-) Just to clarify The Why, I've been trying to get one concrete bit of good fishing info out of Tough Guy, so that the administrator's would see that he does have something to offer.
I failed :-( Guess Scott was right when he made that post awhile back about Tough Guy not contributing anything very useful....
Like some of you have said, it would appear that Tough Guy is an alter ego so perhaps his other side gives us valuable info????
But where would this board be if we all developed alter egos????
Man, what a scary thought????

Tough Guy
01-24-2001, 04:23 PM
Now Ness that is not fair. I gave you "some" of the information you requested. You made me feel like a criminal being interragated by an investigator with a 101 questions. The spotlight was starting to burn my eyes. Now if you don't overwhelm me all at once, I will give you all the information you want.

stewart
01-24-2001, 04:35 PM
Red Neck's right. It's a reference to the comments Landry,Bouchard's likely succesor, made yesterday.Oh well, at least Frank from TBay will be happy.

As for being 'learned' I'm a half french, half english Quebecois, so I know both sides of the issue. Sorry to talk politics Ness, but I couldn't let a post I consider to be off base go unchallenged. Most Quebecers are as sick of seperation talk as the rest of Canada.

Congratulations Ness, I think Tough Guy is starting to crack. Keep it up, this thread is hillarious!!!

Ness
01-24-2001, 05:49 PM
That's different... we haven't beaten that to death yet. It's American politcs that's really old at the moment.

Judge Smith
01-24-2001, 05:58 PM
Why not just answer the question about the lures for fishing. You would have added a lot of credibility to your handle. By slithering in the grass and feeding us "tidbits", I'm not sure I want to know Tough Guy any better. I'll stand clear so I will not get caught in the Cyber Blast.

Whoa, BIG WHOA!!

I think alot of us are getting OUT-OF-LINE, here! I saw Scott's post about "Tough Guy" and I agree that he/she doesn't offer "info". SO WHAT! He/she doesn't bash or spam and is an interesting character. I happen to like the comments, a bit of levity is not harmful, especially if it is NOT DIRECTED, as some posts are!!

We are ALL having a LONG Winter! Seriously, take a HARD look at some other posts here and tell me they are not DIRECTED! If "someone" comes to this Board and fishes with a stick, string and safety pin, would any of us turn that person away? I don't think so. I feel we are united in the betterment of Walleye fishing and the tactics, and methodology of doing so. If that is not where we are, than, maybe, I have come to the wrong Web Site!

Let me ask a question - Did "Red Skelton" (sp?) need to proffer "info"? No! He made us LAUGH at ourselves!! Think about it, please. There are other posters' here that need to be "LOOKED AT", honestly. Maybe, you want to "BLOW ME AWAY" as well! So be it. BUT, none of those here are being harmed by "Tough Guy". Besides, "Me thinks that Canadian beer is GOOD for soul and makes skies blue on rainy day!"

Once said: "It is a good day to die!"

Due to increased pressure to give out some fishing knowledge, Tough Guy will give out his secret lures for ice walleyes. Tough Guy likes jigging minnows from Nilsmaster and Rapala. Tough Guy believe in natural look of black/silver and perch patterns for ice fishing in gin water. Big secret? Nah! Thousands agree with Tough Guy. Ness go buy some for ice trip. Tough Guy out. Thanks for good laugh today. Tough Guy need to laugh like everyone else.

On my first trip to Quebec I was warned by some to be careful where I stopped and to go only to English speaking places.

Well, in the Old City of Quebec and everywhere else, especially the delightful drive along the south side of the St. Lawrence all the way out to New Brunswick, we found nothing but friendly, delightful people. Quebec is wonderful.

RANGER
01-25-2001, 06:02 AM
Yep! That was me. If there is a secret, I'd like to hear it. That is one of the most beautiful fishing spots that I have seen and would love to plan my trips there..........BUT....no fishies! Maybe, if Canada would impose new slots or some type of limits, it will turn around but that will take at least 5 years, I would think. Even the French and Pickerel are tough to crack anymore. The waters have not had limits for forever and it has seriously hurt the fisherie. I love the area, but even the BottomLine said, "ain't no fishies here."
