I seen on the national news that the government flipped the switch off that limited the accuracy on GPS satellites to the general public this week. Removing the limitations was to improve satellite accuracy from the area of a city block to a area smaller then a two car garage.

Has anyone "Tested" or noticed this change and how may this effect waypoints that are already stored, if at all?

I am shopping for a GPS handheld that has the capacity to download onto my home computer, any suggestions?

I recently was looking at GPS units and found 100's of GPS links. I took about 30 links I thought were very useful and put them on our fishing club's website. You may find it a good place to start for downloading free GPS manuals, reading reviews/comparisions of various units and getting waypoints over the internet.

My link is www.millcomm.com/~djj/GPSlinks.html I do not endorse any specific unit or attempt to sell/promote anything. The page was developed to help the "Walleye Searchers of MN" fishing club members better understand GPS and what to consider when buying a unit.
