The employees at all the sportsmanswarehouses across the united states did not get a christmas bonus this year, while the managers got fat bonuses for all the hard work that there sales staff worked hard for, to make there goals for the year, the managment screwed there employees out of there 75.00 dollar bonus, you wonder how they maintain every day low prices by paying there employees poverty wages, not giveing raises that were promised, and hireing as many part time people for 7.00 per hr, the next time you buy from them think twice, you are suporting a very greedy, company that treats there employees like crap. there exuse was that there sales were down from last year, nice try, liers do not win, they are in the same class as cheaters, losers. for every one of you store managers that got your fat bonuses, merry christmas, and a happy new year. to the managers of sportsmanswarehouse that stole christmas. from there employees!:horsepoop:

Do the employees not have the option of finding gainful employment elsewhere?
Since when is a 'Christmas bonus' guaranteed when you work for someone?
Are they paying THEIR employees less than minimum wage? (I doubt it).
I'm sure the brunt of THEIR employees are just glad enough to be bringing home a paycheck.
I wonder just how many of the millions of employees of multi million dollar chains ie: Mc Donalds, Wal Mart, ect.. brought home Christmas bonuses.
How about a Thanksgiving bonus, or a Columbus Day bonus, Valentines Day bonus. Kwanza bonus, maybe?
Jeeesh, just go to work people. Most of those people probably spend the majority of the day smoking cigarettes in the broom closet, or making personal phone calls on the bosses dime.
What about the Jewish employees, or the Hindus, or the Buddhists. Should they get a big fat Christmas bonus even though they don't celebrate Christmas?

Try working in the MI auto industry. Your bonus at many places is a reminder that you should be glad that you have a job. Many get a lay-off notice because of the shut-down and early year slump that can't be sustained anymore. :( With other industries having less discretionary cash, like bonuses, it can't be spent at our favorite sporting goods stores, like yours. That's good ole trickle down economics.
I'd have to agree with you, if I read it correct. Managers get a bonus, but you guys didn't? That's just wrong!!! Only a team get's it done these days. Creating a rift like that just destroys teamwork and creates a nasty work enviroment. Lighten up Steve B and read the post for what it is. You're management somewhere, aren't you? It's Christmas, you scrooge. Bah-humbug, geez. LOL

I just get peeved that some people are fortunate enough to be waken by an alarm clock to got to work, instead of getting up to go stand in the unemployment line, and yet they still complain. If you don't like it, I'm sure the local fast food joint is looking for a head fryer or burger flipper.
Maybe if you work a little harder, show up for work a few minutes early, stay a few minutes later, and show some increased ambition, you might be bumped up to management status.
It's no ones business what the guy next to you is making, or if the boss got a bonus, or if he makes twice as much as you. If you're happy with your work, show up and shut up. If not, get a paper on your way home, and check the classifieds, and update your resume'.
And yes, I am in management. I manage my fishing and hunting time. I retired at the ripe old age of 35, six years ago. Thank you.

well don't let me sound like a preacher but my wife is an elementary school teacher and low and behold she didn't receive her bonus again this year (8 years in a row without one, actually I don't remember her ever bringing one home)! her reward is far better than a measly $75, helping to mold a new generation of hard working young individuals: a job well done and a pay check that never reflects the amount of hours she has put forth.
will a potential bonus make you work harder to get it because if that's how you run, too bad for your work ethic and your co-workers.
S*&t sandwich that the managers received their bonus. hopefully, you will achieve management status one day and this stuff will be behind you!!
read this gentleman's post and think about it for a while:
