Can anyone help me with this problem? my gas gage on my 1775 pro v has never really worked, the d**** thing always reads full, i had it back to the dealer when it was new and the fix lasted about 2 weeks anyideas out there?
This has been a problem for some time now. I'd switch out the sender unit (the sender is located on the gas tank) to one from Livorsi Marine. This is a pretty easy switch and will eliminate the problem.

I agree with FJH1 - sounds like the sending unit. Pretty typical problem with nearly every boat, regardless of manufacturer. The newest Bass & Walleye Boat Magazine has an article on replacing the stock sending unit.

mikey. sometimes the float arm on the sending unit touches the wall of the tank and gets stuck in the full position. take out the sending unit turn the key on and move the arm to see if your gauge reads the movement. if so shorten the arm then bend it (adjust) to read full when the arm is in the full up position when in the tank.
