Is there any way to get the topics back on here?

I cannot replace the topics from the "old" board to the new board. The scripts are not compatible at all.

I will be setting up a search engine for the "archives" on the old board. There is several years of information there that is worth saving.

I'll try to get to that in the next week or so.

There is no way to make this painless, but I think the new format will lend itself to better distribute the information and load it quicker.

All in all, it's a much better script.

How does one go about becoming a member again as opposed to being a guest user?I tried to log on but was denied.I'm sure most or all would like to keep their registered names,What's the scoop?

Thanks.

All ya gotta do is register.
Go to the lobby at: http://www.walleyecentral.com/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi

On the right side is a "first time user register here" link

Click it and fill out the form.

Read the FAQ, they contain information on the "perks" this script offers over the other one.

This one will "remember" who you are so you only have to register and login one time.

Can't Register
09-26-2001, 05:41 AM
I filled in all of the forms but it won't accept my e-mail address which is muskyhoun@hotmail.com so I won't be able to register. This is my permanent e-mail address used for my business or for anything for that matter. Why do you have it set up not to accept an e-mail address of this type? I get the anonymous user message. I'm not planning to change my e-mail address to become a registered user and if I can't register I won't be allowed to post on this board. All of the other boards accept my e-mail address.

I use a hotmail email account and your registration rules appear to be denying me use of this account. Will you consider changing the rules so I can register? I'm not about to change email addresses to register.

You can thank your new format for me skipping town. I don't understand why you felt you needed to change. It looks to me like you are trying to keep up with the Jones. Oh well, adios amigos, hope to see you on the water!
Tight lines.

Adios,

You are exactly correct when you say we are trying to keep up with the Jones'.
The Internet is an ever evolving place and we are just trying to keep pace. I'm sorry you don't see the benefits, but I hope you will give us another try in the future. Before you leave, please read my "If you are lost, read this" post. It may point out a few of the great benefits and have you staying around.

I was a registered pro member. Now I can't even reply to a message on the old forum because I'm denied access. When I try to re-register, I'm told my name is already taken and I can't use it anymore. I'm always asked for a forum password. Why haven't I been told about this new password? My log-on password doesn't suffice. What is the point of your site-forum? I registered under a new name but nothing appeared about this forum password. If you don't get me online again, I quit!

So stop your crying and get on the stick.I know alot of you are from wisconsin so you should have plenty of cheese to go with your wine.
