Let's set one up for beer!

I already tried. You can't vote twice.

It is good to see that you can't vote twice. At least this will be more effective than voting for president.

i thougt green bay was one of the potential world record waters? or was that a rumor trying to drum up tourism for the area since the packers weren't in the playoffs last year?

The 60 inch fish story from Green Bay was a very questionable tale that many on Muskie Central didn't believe for a second, myself included. Muskie Hunter magazine couldn't even get anything out of the guy who supposedly caught it, so, in the end, it was a non-story. But there could be some very large fish there. One never knows for sure. Good fishing.

It may take about 5 years, but why isn't Mille Lacs an option?

I know I am going to get blasted for saying this but I think
the biggest muskie will come from Lake Wissota.

Where is Montana on this poll??? Talk about prejudice. Sheesh.

Yes the biggest one may already be in Wissota but will it get caught before it dies?

My heart (and my son) says Eagle, but my head says Georgian Bay.

I would think the Ottawa River will produce the next world record, with Georgian Bay my next choice.

Oximoronic question. Nobody will CATCH a 70# muskie.

I would have to guess its a tossup between Eagle or GB. I'm pretty convinced that Eagle and GB are the top 2 contenders and that both have several of these giant fish. It's gotta just be a matter of who gets lucky enough to catch one.
Seeing the size of some of the beasts that come outta Eagle lake over the past few years, you just know that record fish is out there. The steady fishing pressure it gets throughout the season gives it a pretty good chance of it bieng caught sooner or later. At the end of every season, the lodge I stay at mails a newsletter detailing the big fish caught during the season. In comparing newsletters over the years, it's amazing how many more 52+ inch muskies are bieng caught than just 5 years ago, including a few that were 58 and 59 inches from this spring and last fall.

With Georgian Bay I can only go by what I've seen and read as I've never fished there, nor have heard any firsthand accounts or stories. Some of the fish in the pictures are remarkable.

What about the Big Chip? With the monster fish evidence seen lately, it's got my vote. So many islands and acres of water...

How come Ottawa is not up here to vote for? I'd would have thought it would be an obvious choice.
