I have a Lowrance GM 100 and was considering getting the Marine and Nutical CD and was wondering how much this will improve, if at all, The lakes that I fish. The lakes I fish are all fairly small and are already on the gps but just the basic background. Thanks in advance!

The CD will give you streams, railroads and basically more detail mostly on land though. There will be some more detail possibly if at the time that they took the picture of the terrain, that you might see islands and so forth there. If you are looking at contour type info, then the navionic maps are what you are looking for. They have a general contour information regarding the great lakes areas and some others. Go to
www.lowrance.com and check it out. Also check out the cd there and it will give you more detail as far as what all is on it. I have the cd and it is nice as you can get 4x4 trails, logging roads and so forth as well as streams listed on your gps with this. The detail is much higher then the standard setup.
