Rik and Mauser: we ARE heading to Cave Run this weekend. Couldn't get a place for Saturday night at the lake, so we'll be at the Super 8 in town. Coming down Saturday, noon-ish, and we'll spend the day learning how to operate the new boat. We'll stop by Crash's before heading to town. If we don't see you by then, we can meet at the Scott Creek ramp Sunday morning around 8. We can fish until early afternoon, then need to head home. Look for a green Dakota with a big, green Gambler chasing it like a muskie after a bucktail. see ya. mm

Well, Mauser caught the only fish of the day, a real nice looking muskie in MY book! And that largemouth baitfish that was on in The Flats was something I'd write home about. We had a fantastic time! I need your address in Beckley so I can send you the photos. Where was my manners??!! Should have at least gotten a group photo and another shot of Sponge's face when the Gambler hit 60! Let's do this again! Hope you guys cleaned out the lake with Justin, let me know how it went. m

Dude, Mauser scored another also Sunday evening....I had 1 blow up on a Top Raider, Missed on a figure 8 + a roll on a spinner bait Monday but no connections....Great time though + now must prepare for the fall pilgrimage to the coastal feeding station for stock up. We'll hitch up again! Tell John to keep the Hot Foot loose. Found out I was the only 1 on the lake Sunday w/ shorts on.....I'll never learn!

CJ's just a fishing machine, isn't he? Glad you got to see some fish, I know they are in there. If you have Mauser's home e-mail address, please forward mine to him so we can keep in touch. Think about another jaunt in May. Have fun in the surf, and thanks again so much for coming with us. I couldn't tell if the shivering was from the shorts in the cold or Jon's driving (shook me up a couple times, too, but how else do they learn?). I think I've got a top-flight guide in the making, here, and I appreciate you being a part of his education. mm

You people are too kind. All praise should go to John for his guiding. He is alright in my book. The Spongemeister could have put a fish is the boat and will once he learns how to hold his mouth. Dad always told me that was my problem , not holding my mouth right.
My thanks goes out to Rik and Mike for their understanding in fishing with a rookie and their support.
To Crash : Thanks for making it a trip to remember. As the saying goes, I will return.
To Justin: Thanks Big Guy, fishing with you is a blast. Like to do it again next year.[ Maybe in May???] Will keep in touch.
Thanks Rik , what more can I say? Your 1st Class in my book and it don't get any higher. I'll fish with you any time , any where.
Mike : thanks for the trip on the lake Dude. E-Mail address is as follows cjc@nciworld.net
