Has anyone crossed at Fort Erie lately? How bad is it?

Thanks in advance.

Jawbone,

I had some US clients up last week from IN and they said it wasn't too bad getting across into canada. It is definitly slowed down and you may get searched. They said the best times to get through are on the off hours when traffic has slowed down. "late evening or early morning"

Going back into the states may be more of a hasel.

Good Luck,

Stacey:

I crossed at Fort Erie on 9/14 & 9/21. Getting into Canada was more backed-up than getting into the US. On 9/14 we crossed into Canada @8:00pm on a Friday. Delays to the bridge toll were about 30 minutes. Crossing the bridge was fine, and about a 10 minute delay at the Canada customs booths.

Coming back into the US on 9/21, we crossed at about 9:30 pm and had about a 20 minute delay at the US customs booths. However, for whatever reason, the opposite road into Canada looked absolutely horrendous for whatever reason at 9:30 pm Friday night. Backed-up all the way across the bridge from Canada customs booths to the US toll booths. That had to be at least a 2-hour back-up.

I guess it is "hit & miss" at this point???

Crossed back over into U.S.A. last Saturday at 11:30am. No one was there all the gates were empty. All the crossing guards were standing in a group talking. They sent me into a gate and the only things I was asked was residency and place of birth and sent on my way took less then a minute. GOOD FISHING R.Burke
