Has anyone been down there lately, thinking of going Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday to go after the only fish worth going after. Thanks for any advice.

You mean Lake Shelbyville, in Illinois? If so, a buddy of mine was down there recently(last weekend), and I guess the muskies were hitting pretty good. He did not fish, but saw an article from a local paper that said that one guy caught 4 in 1 day.

two weeks ago i was at Lake Shelbyville. We had five on friday only got one in 34". Saturday we had 2 on and lost both. Most of the fish we had on was in Ocaw Arm in 10ft of water. Will be going back down this friday and saturday.

Ah, my favorite subject, Lake Shelbyville!

Looks like you guys might be getting ready for the Directors Tournament. I'm sorry I'm going to miss it because I have a trip
to Wisconsin planned for the same weekend (once the tourney got moved back a week! *grumble*). I was really looking forward to meeting everybody.

The fish are still hanging tight to the banks and in timbered coves.
Spinnerbaits were working a couple weeks ago but they are now looking for a slower presentation. Try twitch baits or just crank in a 10" Jake with a steady retrieve. Fish are active all over the lake. One of our club members just caught the new lake record. It was 51" but I don't remember the weight or girth (but I can look it up in our club newsletter).
