It's been a year or so since i've been on Butternut, I don't remember any major weed beds. Where you just fishing shorelines?

There are quite a few weeds out there. The biggest weedbed I fish is on the south end, but that one is mostly dead. Accross the lake from the public landing is a small point, just north of that point and out from the point itself are some nice weeds(the deeper ones are still green), and usually holds a fish. The south end of the big island (between the island and the reeds) has some nice ones too, as do the narrows(there again, the deeper weeds are still alive). I fish shorelines out there too, and anywhere I can find rocks. There are usually lots of weeds on the north end, but I usually don't do as well there in the fall for some reason. Good luck!!!
