We had pretty much a south wind for a few days so we were just below the narrows in the deep basin there. Right on the bottom. Mainly finding the deeper holes did it for us. I should though, as one day last fall I was out there and a 45"er grabbed my sucker right out from the landing in the open basin where I stopped to just rig up my suckers. I wonder if that huge bullhead population suspends out there???...??? Rob Myers - St. Croix Rods 10-16-2001, 09:57 AM I'm thinking that the bullhead population is becoming a memory. I haven't seen one or heard of anyone catching any in a few years. What's really coming on there is the rockbass. There are quite a few that become eagle and crow meals during the ice season. Rob | |
