Do people usally catch much on rainy, windy days? I went out today didn't have much luck but did freeze my butt off. Do you guys have any tips on how to catch them during this weather? And also what lures and what method to work them? Thanks in advance everyone.

I usually do well in rainy windy stuff(especially in summer on clearer waters). I like to fish a little shallower and get to those obvious windswept areas that might be holding baitfish. This time of year(as recent as last week), I've seen fish really go nuts during the little "calms" between more wind and rain. Jerkbaits have been our go to for the past week and a half9with twitch baits in there too), and suckers are getting the nod too.

I posted on another board about this very thing, Yesterday here in NW Wis. was the best day I had in a long time. It rained all day Sat. Sunday morning when I went out was still very cloudy and overcast with occassional rain and drizzle. The fish really seemed to be turned on. The wind kept changing, west to south to southwest all day. Caught all fish trolling with a jointed shallow-raider but had to be very close to structure, was pulling a lot of weeds off yesterday. I have fished these same spots hard for the past few weeks with no luck, all at once the fish were there. Water temp. was 51.
