I seen a rig called a Whip-up years back in the In-Fisherman and it recently popped into my noodle to try to build one, but I can't remember all the details.

Does anyone have a illustration or details I can use to build one, if so I would sure appreciate the help.

To refresh you memories it is a dead stick rig that is often used on trout or pike that loads the rod up and sets the eyelet on the tip of the rod on a dowel, when you get a strike it pops free setting the hook.

I bet you Great lakes trout & salmon hunters know this rig?

Thanks,

Walleyes don't want to find you, go find them...><,GO PIGGY,>

Yeah, I remember em. Dad always kept one handy for all us kids, on top of the fridge. He liked them elm limbs. Lot of whip to them. :-) Russell

I wish I could tell you more Eddy, but I mostly fish for Perch. I seen that pic somewhere, and saved it 'cause I thought I'd make one someday too !
