Would like your thoughts and opinions as to how you feel an Abu Garcia Morrum 6000 series would be for a musky casting reel. Would appreciate any input pro and con from your experiences. Thanks, Lonnie

I don't know about the 6000 series reels, but I do have one of their little 1600 series bass reels and it is the smoothest casting and reeling baitcaster that I've ever felt.

I've got a 6600 and a 5600.
Depending on what your primary use of the reel will be I see no need to go with the 6600, the 5600 can handle everything the 6600 can.
In my opinion the 5600 is the best casting reel out there, it has a low profile so it is very comfortable to use, holds plenty of line (I use 80# Whiplash), and is effortless to cast...
I have mine on the 8' St. Croix Premier and it is the best combo I have ever used.
Good Luck,

I also use the 5600 size and love them. I have about 800 hours on one of them now and I've changed out the spool bearing once, and that is it(besides a few pawls). I love the reel, in fact I just set it down about 30 minutes ago(the drag worked good tonight, on a rock, and a 34"er).
