Tomcat and I are heading to St. Claire this weekend to tie into a hawg. We're going with a guy that seems to know what in the ##### is going on, but does anyone have anything from there lately??
What lures or colors seem to be hot now or are traditional lures in the fall???
Peace Out.

Wow, you guys do get around don't you. Are you guys independently wealthy or what. Everytime I turn around you guys are hitting a hot lake in a different state. Let us know how you do Steve.

Hey Jim....It's kind of nice that we all get along now, huh?? Anyhow, yeah, we do travel around alot to go fishing. Tom and I live in Indianapolis, not exactly a great musky state...but hey, we got Webster. So if you want to fish, we have to travel and we like to fish the best lakes and fish with the best people.
No, we're not that rich...we just got pretty decent jobs for 25 year old guys. Plus, you'd really really be amazed how cool musky guys can be....I mean, we've met a lot of people in this business and made a lot of friends already and it opens the doors to a lot of opportunities. I know we kind of ham it up on these boards...some people even get a little bent out of shape, and we've learned our lessons as far as slamming people, but when most people meet me and my two brothers, they seem to like us, our style, our enthusiasm, and our knowledge about fish. People really do like to fish with Tom and I and that is great for our ever expanding fishing experiences.
I'm dead honest when I say that if it wasn't for cool musky icons like Tony Grant, Tony Rizzo, Ben Clendenning, etc....even Mepp's Tackle...that I would have never had nearly as many great experiences in this sport that I have now.
And to be real honest, I don't get to fish every week like most people on these boards, so when I go, I want to have the best possible chance of catching some big fish as I can....so that's why I like to associate with these "musky icons."
Thanks for being cool Jim. You've turned my attitude around. I'll let you know about the trip on Monday.

Hey MuskyJ (Jim):
You're not trying to be a prick again are you?? Why would you say, "Boy I'm jealous." Come on. Let's all get along. Be happy for once. I'm excited as ##### about fishing St. Claire. As everyone knows, October is the time to be on the water if you're looking for fat girls. I think we're fishing with a good guide too, so I'll report when we get back...hopefully with a hawg in my arms.
Peace Out.

Cool Jim (MuskyJ). Let's see if everyone can behave themselves this winter on these boards...I'm including myself and my brothers.
Tomcat and I just feel a fatty coming our way this weekend. Doesn't anyone out there have any St. Claire advice for this time of the year??? Come on guys....fork it over.
Peace Out.

I was up there the weekend of oct. 14 had very high winds. got four on saturday. we trolled from thames river to bell river in 11 ft of water. all of the fish came on rods in the prop wash about 20 -25 feet back tolling 4 mph.2oz weight 3 of the fish came on a 6" jointed wiley's with a perch pattern. I may go back up the first of nov. let me know how you do. www.rangerbr54@aol.com

We didn't have much luck. We didn't catch a fish. We trolled 8-14 feet of water, going around 4 mps and we had 7 lines out...including planer boards. We trolled mostly Loke's and Wiley's....but we switched it up often...we used 12" jakes, Wiley's FB, bucktails, spoons, etc. We fished in about 12 feet of water in front of the spillway and a point I think they call "Metro"??? I'm not real familiar with the lake yet.
We also fished right out in front of the launch (the big DNR launch by 19 mile road). But we didn't get anything.
Hey Doug, if you're going back in early Nov. is there anyway I can hook up with you????
