I'm wonder what lures you can take a hook off to save a few muskies.

Thanks,

Certainly the 16" Ukko Wobbler could do without the back hook. I have heard a number of horror stories about how it has tore up fish.

any crankbait that has three trebles and is less than 6" should have only two! I remove all middle trebles from these lures: jake 6", baby shallowraider (thanks to Jlong), cranes 205 and 206, 6" grandma, mann's one-minus stretch of 11cm, ... It's better to add two bigger hooks than three small hooks. Causes less damage and unhooks a lot easier.

I take the back hooks off my suicks. It saves catching lots of little tail nippers (small pike mostly) too.

I'd be leary about removing the middle treble as most of my fish are coming in on the middle treble right now.

I AGREE MOST OF MY HITS ARE FROM 90 DEGREES

I don't agrea, most fish come on the front treble (nearest to the head) or they are hooked by both. I would keep the front treble razor-sharp. If the distance between the front and rear treble gets too big (say over 12cm) then I would leave the middle one there.
