I will be fishing In nothern Wisconsin the last weekend of October, I will be musky fishing on a very clear lake the first 2 days and then a stained water flowage for the last day. What baits would you all recomend throwing? Last year I hit 2 on Suicks, but we did most of our catching on Suckers. Any thing else worth throwing? Perhaps a hughes river, or other glide baits? Let me know what you all think.
THanks!

I'd go for a Cherry Bomb, Reef Hawg or Bugsy Bait. I like the Bugsy's because they go up to 9' down. Neutral colors for clear lakes and brighter ones for the darker water.

For the stained water. Crane baits and suicks. On the suick let the bait rise slowly back to break the surface about 15 feet from the boat. I often use this action three or four times in a single cast. Its slow fishing, but I have had explosive results on fall days with this approach.
I will be in Sawyer county this weekend and will also throw a Bull dawg. I use a very short stout croix rod with a rip up and let the dawg drop action.

Good Luck.
