It is official gas prices just fell below a buck a gallon here in Walker 97.9 to be exact, This must be some kind of reverse gouging by Big Oil just in time for the Christmas driving splurge.

Last I heard we can all thank Russia for kicking opec's **s and driving down prices. Tippin, who is the new leader of Russia has figured out that we can get along and they can get some money into their economy.

And now that we are finally getting a chance to catch our breath with lower gas prices, there's a move in the Minnesota state legislature to raise the gas tax. Amazing. Give us a break will ya?

$1.12 in Kiel Wisconsin! We should be at a buck when you guys hit 50 cents. Around here, it goes up a heck of a lot faster than it comes down.

We can thank the Russians for stepping up production after 9/11/01 I think they were looking for the right time to increase production.
Now the OPEC oil barons of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East will have to rethink some of their decisions from here on out. I do know that Russian oil is just fine with Americans. Especially the price per barrel it is going for at this present time.

Enjoy, Jim

It wasn't so much a right time as much as the fact that a major pipeline was finished. Russia has a golden opportunity to be a major player in the oil market - if they keep their heads screwed on straight.

Still $1.20 to $1.30 all around Montana. Of course we have a state fuel tax included in there that amounts to about half of the price!
We have no sales tax, so they get us at the gas pump.

where are those guys who said gas would get to 5 dollars a gallon?
...if i werent so lazy i would search the archives and find the
names.....i figured if i asked, they would just admit to it and
apologize for being so negative.

lets hope we dont stay on the rollercoaster from now on.
