Madison Chain

I am going to be in Madison in Two week for week long meetings. Can someone reccomend a place to stay on or near the Chain? I have never fished it so I'm not familiar with area. I will have my boat so security is a concern.

Also does anyone know of a good bait shop in the area and a good guide that I can hire for a 1/2 day trip.

Madison has many hotels, as for security i don't know. however Stoughton is less than 15 minutes away, there is the Chose Family inn which has good lighting and many anglers stay there. Stoughton has very little crime also.
I'm not a guide but I would gladly take you out for an afternoon of fishing.
