Any thoughts on how the cold weather moving into N. Wisconsin will effect the fish this weekend. I'm a first time fall musky hunter and I'm not quite sure what to expect as the weather turns cold. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I've always heard that a Fall cold front has the opposite effect on fishing that it does during the summer months. Supposedly it sends the fish into a feeding frenzy.
I'll be on the big water of Trout Lake, WI this weekend and just found out that temperatures won't get above freezing and snow flurries every day! Yikes! I'll be adding some more warm clothes to my suitcase.
Anyone out there have an opinion of Fall cold front fishing?

I don't really see it as a cold front anymore(as the nights are very cold anyways), just the natural seasonal cooling. The fish are definately on the prowl now(the past few days have been great except for the warm Sunday we had). With surface temps down into the forties now, turnover is a thing of the past, and the muskies should be snapping to freeze up. The bite has been surprisingly shallow yet for us.
