I'M LOOKING TO BUY A NEW BATTERY. I'VE CHECKED WITH CABELA'S. TROLLING THUNDER WAS THEIR TOP CHOICE. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY OTHER SUGESTIONS. OR HAS ANY ONE TRIED THE TROLLING THUNDER, AND HAS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH IT?

Look at the line of TROJAN batteries, You will find that they have the most run time out there and cost you less to have a better battery. To find a dealer call 1-800-423-6569 or www.trojanbattery.com.

I'll try not to sound like an ad. I researched the Trolling Thunder batteries thoroughly before buying the pro-pak a couple years ago to power my MK 824 48# Autopilot. So far, the advertising is accurate. Extremely fast recharge, great power, great power retention after many recharges, etc. Fishing hard full days in Canada last summer, often in the wind, day after day, probably the toughest use, and lots of power to spare. Many other reasons to consider these batteries as well. See www.hepi.com. Only thing I have yet to see is how many years they go. Good fishing, John.

Try locating the sept/oct 1999 issue of Bass and Walleye boats magazine. There is quite an comprehensive article on Deep Cycle batties including wet cell, AGM and gell cell type batteries. Each one has its advantages and price the article does a pretty good job of helping you figure out what is best for you.
Good luck.

If you have a Wal-Mart near you go and take a look at the Extreme series.
EXCELLENT value and a GREAT battery. The 27 series trolling motor batteries are only $54 a piece!
Just a thought...
