Does any one remember Aqua-Bug ice augers? They were advertised in Popular Mechanics in the 60's. They also made a motor for a bicycle, like the kids scooters have today. You could also change the auger to drill in dirt for post holes. Anyway, I have one that I bought in 1965 and have used it almost every winter. Just wondering as some day I might need parts.
If I remember correctly,...they were from Ct,...And I believe they folded. They also made a neat little generator,..size of a 6 pack,..made a tiny boat motor as well.

Is there a name on the motor, other than aqua bug?

I have one of those augers. Did notice one thing, it drills the opposite direction than others. That makes it hard to find blades & the tip also. If anyone knows what you can do to get these parts I would like to know? I got this auger from my father 3 years ago when he moved. Nice lite ice auger, if i could get it to work. Totally opposite spin to auger. Any ideas?? The thing runs great but i think the blades are junk.....
