I have a brand new plano box just waiting for some new musky lures to fill it.
If you fished mainly rivers, have NO musky lures now, and fished in depths ranging from 0-20ft deep(average 8ft), just which lures would you want Santa to bring you to fill the plano?

Bucktails, creepers, top raiders, various twitchbaits/crankbaits....since your inlaws live so close let me know when you going to visit them + I've got a Rollie/Helens catalogue for "Ms. Santa" to browse through!!!:) What do you think of this "second summer"?

SBob,

I come to Salem often, and can stop buy for that log anytime!(not up for the inlaw trip bud!:))....and I love this mild winter!! I was thinking about hitting the water today or tomorrow as a matter of fact, but my son wants to do the "deer" thing, so I'd better sight in a few guns and get ready for the Mon Am opening day deer hunt :)

little Sponge is 5 + I showed him how to use a Primos Bleat'n Heat....took him out on the upper deck w/ about 45 minutes of light left....soon we had a doe + fawn show up at the fence line 20 yds from us + then 2 larger does arrived....the HUMONGO 12 pointer my brother saw this morning didn't show but w/ rifle season atrting Monday maybe then....he couldn't understand why we couldn't shoot the does.....we watched them feed 'til dark + had a blast....may hire him out as a guide soon!:)

I do a fair amount of river skeelungin' I'd suggest: Cranes, Bulldawgs, Reef hawgs, and some sort of bouyant thin profile crank bait

the 18cm nilsmaster which you can use as a jerkbait too. Shallow water = shallow version, deep water = version with the steel lip.

all I want for Christmas is a blaze orange sledge
a black and orange bull dawg,
a small mouth suick,

I fish a tea stained small river in Canada and those three lures would keep me busy all summer and fall. For spring I might want to add a few bucktails
